Method 1: Try the first method to fix the error
Step-1 Open Microsoft Outlook and click
For Outlook 2007: Click Tool > Account Setting
For Outlook 2010 and above versions: Click File > Account Settings > Account Settings
Step-2 Click on Email Tab.
Step-3 Select your mailbox file and click on Change Button.
Step-4 Check your mail server details and click on More Settings button.
Step-5 In Internet Email Setting dialog box click on Outgoing Server Tab.
Step-6 Check the checkbox of My Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication.
Step-7 Click on OK button and check the send and receive email process.
If it didn’t work then try the second method described below:
Method 2:
Step-1 Follow the Step-1 to Step-4 from Method 1.
Step-2 Click on Advanced Tab.
Step-3 Change the Outgoing Server (SMTP) value and encrypted typed connection value to TLS or SSL.
Note: For using SSL never use Port Value as 465 because SSL never works on 465. Always use 25 or 587 as SSL port number.
Step-4 Click on OK button then Click on Next Button to check the Test Account Settings.
Step-5 Click on Close button after the task completes and then click on Finish button.
